Ear Candling – an alternative therapy for sinus, tinnitus, ringing in ears, hearing and stress.

Introduction:

index

Ear candling is a gentle, relaxing treatment to clear the ear canals of accumulated debris and stimulate the flow of energy to the entire head area. It’s an excellent therapy for relieving conditions such as:

  • sinus congestion
  • glue ear / swimmers ear
  • ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • hearing problems
  • age related deafness
  • flying discomfort
  • excessive ear wax

During a treatment the patient will be lying on his side, and the lit candle is gently inserted into the ear canal. A soft crackling sound is heard, similar to the noise of an open fire. Popping may also be heard as chunks of wax are dislodged from the ear.

The burning of the candle creates a warming vacuum to draw excess matter from the ears and promote circulation. It is also said that the flame draws energy into the body and stimulates the acupressure points located in the region of the ear.

Dangers of Ear candling:

There are potential side effects of Ear candling and it is ineffective at removing earwax. In fact, the technique can actually push earwax deeper into the ear canal. Ear candling can also lead to:

  • Deposits of candle wax in the ear canal
  • Burns to the face, hair, scalp, ear canal, eardrum and middle ear
  • Puncture of the eardrum.

Benefits:

Ear candling has benefits and it includes relieving ringing in the ears, helps relieve sinus pain and pressure, removes excess wax build up, assists with relieving Swimmers` ear, helps relieve headaches, relieves severely itchy ears caused by yeast, mould or dairy allergies and helps unplug ears due to illness.  Other benefits include improved lymphatic fluid flow through the body, improved color perception, a more balanced emotional state and clearer thinking.  It has also been reported that those who partake in ear candling experience an improved sense of taste.  After treatment patients feel relaxed, grounded and notice an improvement in hearing.

TIPS FROM THE MASTERS…

In vesical neuralgia after catherization: MAG PHOS.

Dr. Tyler, M.D.

MAG PHOS can relieve the excruciating pain of cancer.

Dr. Heselton.

One’s chief use for MAG PHOS has been in the treatment of dysmenorrhoea.  Single dose of the CM given anytime the patient happened to come up, not necessarily during the painful period, have cured for us, quite a number of cases, the indications being dysmenorrhoea, with violent abdominal pain, doubling the patient up and only relieved by heat.

 Dr. M. L. Tyler, M.D.

In cases of Angina Pectoris, where immediate temporary relief has been obtained with Nitrites, but where there is still discomfort, MAG PHOS will often help.  It should be given in hot water and I usually dissolve 10 tablets in a quarter glass of water and direct the patient to take a sip or a teaspoonful every, 5 or 10 minutes, until better.

 Dr. Garth W. Boericke, M.D.

When riding in a strong cold wind brings on neuralgia, think of MAG PHOS; when it brings on paralysis, think of CAUSTICUM.

Homeopathic recorder, March’ 31.

I am of the opinion that MAG PHOS is the best rejuvenator we possess.  Moreover, in practice I have found it to cover the exhaustion and most of the painful ailments of which old people complain and now give it to any person who looks older than his or her years.

Dr. Heselton.

Bad effects of coal-tar derivatives, Aspirin or Anacin etc; CARBOVEG, MAG PHOS, LACHESIS AND ARNICA.

Hom Herald.

MAG PHOS may be studied as one of the great remedies for the immediate after effects of tetanus shots.

Dr. A H. Grimmer.

MAG PHOS is the remedy for nerve tension, as exhibited in the pulse.  In severe cases of nervous tension, there is not only well marked tension to the pulse but the cords of the wrists are tense.  You cannot do your patient much good until you relax the nerve tension.  If you find it in both wrists, it shows that the condition has become general.  The whole nervous system is involved. In that case, MAG PHOS will prove to you a friend in need.   Give MAG PHOS 3x, three tablets every 2 hours, in a teaspoonful of hot water. In urgent cases with severe pains, or acute spasms give 10 tablets, in half a glass of hot water, a teaspoonful every 15 minutes, until relieved.

COLOR THERAPY.

Color therapy is a technique of applying colored light to the body.   Color therapy is not new.  In fact evidence of this therapy is found in the Healing temples of light at Heliopolis, the Egyptian center for the worship of Arum-la.  Recently, Rudolph Steiner, C.W. Leadbeater, Dinshaw Ghadiali and Faber Birren have added a lot to our understanding of this therapy.

Therapists use different ways to shine light on patients.  Some apply the light directly, or use colored glass; others recommend that patients should take liquids from particular colored containers.  Therapists in Europe make patients wear certain colored robes and receive light from a special “Beamers”.  Usually no more than three colors are used at a time and one of them is blue.  Some Australian researchers advocate color breathing exercises during which one visualizes the color with the opposite meaning from the color of the thought form, one wishes to negate.  Much of Color therapy is still experimental and not popular in India yet.

LAETRILE – IS IT THE ANSWER TO CANCER?

index

Introduction:

This anti-cancer molecule is one of the most controversial subjects in Medicine.  This drug is also called Amygdaline, Vitamin B 17 or Nitriloside. There are about 14 naturally occurring nitriloside distributed in over 1200 species of plants.  Apricots, sweet potatoes, lima beans, millet, lettuce prunes, apples cherries and plums are a rich source of Laetrile.

index2  index3   index4

This drug is considered to be more of an accessory food factor and it is found that primitive tribes in Pakistan, South Africa, South America and Australian aborigines consumed more than 250 to 3000 mg of nitrosilide every day and hence had low cancer rates, as compared to the rest of the civilized west and USA.

Why Laetrile became controversial?

Laetrile is a three part molecule containing: sugar, cyanide and either benzaldehyde or acetone. So, it is literally true to say that Laetrile contains cyanide, which is a deadly poison. Under normal conditions, the chlorine in salt and cyanide are tightly bound and there is no danger of a sudden ‘leak out’.  So, Laetrile is actually safe and it kills the cancer cells because of the synergy of two key breakdown products, cyanide and benzaldehyde.

Laetrile is very safe:

Extensive tests have shown that Laetrile is extremely safe and relatively free of side effects.

Clinical experience with Laetrile:

Several studies done by Oncologists have revealed that Laetrile given in doses varying from 9 to 133 grams intravenously, for a variable period of 4 to 43 weeks, in inoperable cancer cases resulted in:

  • Dramatic relief of pain and discontinuance of narcotics
  • Control of stench emanating from the tumor.
  • Improved appetite.
  • Reduction in the swelling of the Lymph nodes.
  • Total remission of cancer in many cases.

The side effects of this therapy were transient episodes of low blood pressure, itching and a hot sensation in the affected area, all of which disappeared with the continuance of therapy.

Conclusion:

Despite the bad name it has received because of the “Great Cyanide Scare”, Laetrile is useful although controversial.  Its use is still restricted in many countries.
