VERATRUM ALBUM.

This drug is useful when there is a collapse of the patient with extreme coldness, blueness and weakness.

It is useful in post-operative shock with cold sweat in the head, pale face, and rapid feeble pulse.

This remedy is very useful in vomiting and purging, with cramps in the extremities with nearly all complaints. The diarrhoea is copious and forcibly evacuated with great prostration.

This remedy suits females with early menses, which is profuse and exhausting. It is useful in dysmenorrhoea with cold sweat.

This remedy is useful in soreness and tenderness of the joints with calf cramps.

This remedy suits subjects whose skin is blue, cold clammy with cold sweat.

This remedy suits persons who are worse in the night and in wet cold weather. It also suits persons who are better walking and better from warmth.

Veratrum Album given in aqueous solution intravenously revives the patient.

I have found Veratrum Album useful in cardiac debility following acute diseases when the heart muscles become so weak that the pulse is thread like. The patient faints on moving, on lying down, the face is red on sitting up, it turns deathly pale. Often you will find the hands cold and clammy.
