CINCHONA.
This remedy is derived from the Yellow Peruvian bark.
It is a specific remedy for debility resulting from the loss of vital fluids, hemorrhages, exhausting diarrheas and after bouts of malaria.
It is useful in gall stone colic, where pains occur after eating at regular hours each day, worse at night and better after bending double.
It is useful in neuralgic pains aggravated by the slightest touch, but ameliorated by deep pressure.
It is useful in intermittent fevers, such as malaria, where the fever recurs in paroxysms, 2 to 3 hours each day, recurring every 7th or 14th day, or every other night, associated with sweats all over at night.
This remedy is also useful in excessive belching, which gives no relief and aggravates after eating fruits.
